The Best Part of the 4th Happens Before the Fireworks

Hey there

4th of July morning means pancake breakfasts.  Okay, so mine actually begins with scones because that’s how we roll, but we all have our own traditions!  Speaking of traditions (I know, that segue was golden) I love celebrating holidays with pajamas.  The usual suspects are Easter and of course Christmas, but I want to roll that tradition on into the 4th of July.  It’s so fun!  Rolling out of bed for a special breakfast in new — and potentially matching — family pajamas?  It just makes the day feel extra special and fun.

And the hidden perk of 4th of July pajamas, they can absolutely work as year-round options.

Here are my picks for everyone — her, him, and the little ones.

— For her —

joystreet | hanna andersson | printfresh

Fun prints ooze summer. It’s a time for fun, whimsy and memories. I’m loving all of these options.
A fun thing to note? Printfresh has matching lobster pjs for him and her. In case you have a lobster of your own (thank you for that Phoebe).

LUNYA | petite plume | eberjey

So you’re more of a solids girl? I got you.
The silky, slinky from Lunya is your flirty option. If you are lying in bed drinking mimosas and enjoying your scones, this is how you do it in the chicest way possible. But helllllooooo wide leg pants from Petite Plume. How cute are you? And a silhouette I do not see often in pajama offerings, I’m in love with this as an unexpected option.

— For Him —

eberjey | hanna andersson | petite plume

My personal pick?  That Eberjey short set.  It looks seriously sophisticated. A set he could wear out and about and I love that for him.  Easy throw on anytime and look like he put on some real clothes instead of sweats.  But just as comfortable.

That being said, what would my hubs more reliably reach for? The poplin pants from Hanna Andersson. I’m still warming him up to the idea of sets. But I will wear him down…

— For the Kiddos —

petite plume | hanna andersson | quince

Stop.  Can we take a minute for that striped option from Petite Plume?  We received a gift of a long-sleeve and pants plaid set for our little ones in size 18 month…there is NOTHING CUTER than a babe in an ‘adult’ looking sleep set.  It kills me.  I love it.  This time is so fleeting and it’s one of those adorable memories that run through my head often.  Nothing made me sadder than folding that one up to donate.

Alright, well now that I’m getting misty I’m off to throw that adorable set into the cart.

I wish you all the absolute best 4th of July yet — filled with adorable pajama sets, loved ones, delectable food and drinks, and sweet memories on this momentous anniversary.

Happy 4th y’all.  And Happy 250th, America.
