Hey there,
Can we just talk about a phenomenal talent coming from (one of my home towns) Portland, Oregon?
Great, let me introduce you to Kelly DeJardin of Dime Design Co.
Oh, and I guess I should clarify, this is the Designer Spotlight, a bi-monthly highlight of intriguing and exciting designer work that is bedroom specific. …duh. Sorry, not sorry that there will be no showcase of living rooms, kitchens, no full home tours, just the spaces where a bed takes center stage and the design is sublime.
I am so happy to be sharing Dime Design Co. with you this week. Their designs showcase some of the most considered, livable and genuinely attainable interiors I have come across. Founded by Kelly DeJardin, the studio operates on a philosophy that I could immediately relate to the moment I read it: to create a warm, welcoming home by blending pre-owned pieces with new accents.

Kelly DeJardin, Principal Designer and Founder of Dime Design Co.
This approach to design was born from a lesson Kelly’s mother taught her early: never pay full price for anything. What started as a personal philosophy became a professional practice then a firm built around it. The result is interiors that feel collected rather than purchased. Layered rather than assembled. Like someone who actually lives there made every decision with intention and a little patience.
This matters enormously in bedroom design specifically. The bedroom that feels like you is not the bedroom suite that was bought all at once, in one outing, from one retailer. It is the room that has the vintage nightstand alongside the new linen duvet. The inherited lamp next to the investment throw. Dime Design Co. builds that kind of room intentionally and at every budget.
Okay, okay, enough babbling from me, let’s move on to see one of the incredible bedroom spaces Dime Design Co. has brought to life:

If you are in the Portland area or the greater Pacific Northwest and you are ready to have someone help you build the bedroom (or your entire home) you have been putting off, Dime Design Co. is definitely worth a conversation. You can find Kelly and the full Dime Design Co. portfolio at dimedesignco.com.
Until I babble again,
Carli
